Should you find something is not working as it should, please contact Villa Boaventura immediately, so that we can address this efficiently. Should the need arise, we will get a technician to visit the property at the first possible opportunity, or in the case of air conditioning units, we will provide you with a room fan until the appliance can be repaired.
You must ensure all the windows, shutters and doors are locked when you head out for the day and set the alarm. Please do not leave the air conditioning on while you are away from the villa to save on energy.
To ensure the safety and security of your valuable belongings, we kindly recommend that all guests use the provided safe to store their valuables during their stay
For use of the safe, the safe door will be left open for your arrival and set with the default code 1234B .

Utilities & Appliances
To ensure the most comfortable of stays, we always strive to keep everything running as it should be. Here are some useful hints about your property utilities and user guides to the major appliances.
ELECTRICITY
Guests are reminded that they are responsible for their own correct and proper usage of all electrical items inside the property. If at any stage during the duration of your stay, you find an electrical appliance not working as it should, do not attempt to fix this yourself. Our busy, modern lives mean we are users of multiple gadgets, all at the same time – laptops, TV, air conditioning, washing machine etc. Sometimes, if there are several appliances working at the same time, a fuse may blow. To resolve this, turn off some appliances and reset the fuse box.
PLUMBING
The plumbing pipes in Portugal are often quite thin, and there are no soil stack pipes. This means that when the pipes dry out there might be a light odour. Flushing the toilet and running the tap can help this to disperse since the plumbing works through a water siphon to prevent odours from the public plumbing to enter the house. Please don’t be alarmed as it will go away. Thin pipes are also prone to blockage, so please also consider the amount of toilet paper you deposit in the toilet. DO NOT put feminine products or any type of wet-wipe (including Kandoo) down the toilet.
INTERNET
We know it’s important to stay connected... and share those holiday snaps on social media too of course! Villa Boaventura cannot be held responsible for any problem with internet accessibility of computers and other equipment which you bring with you on holiday nor can they be held responsible for any third-party provider service. We hope you accept the issues outlined and trust that this information is of assistance. Your understanding in these matters is appreciated.

On specific cleans, you will also have a towel change included along with the schedule above. If you stay for 10+ nights, you will have a linen change included.
If you are at the property and prefer the maids to return at a later time, they will attempt to return later on the same day. However, we cannot guarantee when this will be as they will have a schedule of properties to attend to.
If you would like to request extra maid services during your stay, this is available for €60 for a 2-hour service. This could be 1 maid for 2 hours or 2 maids for 1 hour depending on our scheduling restrictions. Please get in touch with the guest services team to arrange this.
